IMSA is the umbrella association for sons and daughters of Imo State living in Ireland. We foster cultural pride, unity, charity, and mutual support among Imolites.

Imo State Association (IMSA) is a vibrant, non-political, non-profit socio-cultural organization formed by sons and daughters of Imo State, Nigeria, residing in Ireland. We are a united body of professionals, families, students, and youth, driven by the common goal of preserving our heritage, empowering our community, and giving back to both our homeland and our host country. As an umbrella association, IMSA seeks to promote unity, cultural pride, development, and mutual support among its members. Through social, educational, and charitable initiatives, IMSA creates a platform for Imolites in Ireland to connect, celebrate, and contribute meaningfully to society.

The Structure of IMSA

IMSA is a cohesive community made up of the following arms:

  • IMSA Men: Responsible for leadership, mentorship, community development, and event planning.

  • IMSA Elegant Women: Focused on empowerment, culture, and charity projects with a focus on women and children.

  • IMSA Youths: Dedicated to preserving tradition, encouraging education, and nurturing future leaders.

  • IMSA Charity Arm: Coordinates fundraising, outreach programs, and humanitarian services.

Each arm operates independently but collaborates to achieve the association’s shared goals.

Membership

 Who Can Be a Member?

Membership is open to all persons of Imo State origin or descent, and their spouses, who currently reside in Ireland. Whether you were born in Imo State, married into it, or have cultural ties through your parents or grandparents, IMSA welcomes you.

How to Become a Member:

  1. Complete the online or physical membership application form.

  4. Attend an orientation or induction session.

  5. Actively participate in meetings, programs, and events.
